Careers.
CleanDims is a small team building infrastructure for a category that did not have a name before we named it.
How we hire.
We hire slowly. The work is intellectually serious and the people we hire shape both what gets built and how the company evolves. We would rather wait for the right person than fill a seat.
We hire across the disciplines you would expect of an early-stage infrastructure company: engineering, design, product, sales, technical writing. The roles open at any given time are listed below. If no role is currently listed, we are not actively hiring, but we will read every speculative application that includes substance about why dimensional data is the problem you want to work on.
When we are hiring, the process is straightforward. A first conversation, a short take-home exercise scoped to the role, two technical or craft interviews, and a conversation with a founder. The full process usually takes two to three weeks of calendar time. We tell candidates what we are doing and why at each step; we expect candidates to do the same.
Open roles.
We do not have any open roles at the moment. If you are interested in CleanDims and want to be considered when we open a role that fits your background, fill in our contact form with a paragraph about who you are, what you have built, and why dimensional data is the problem you want to work on. We read every response.
What it is like to work here.
We work async by default. Documents are written, read, and commented on; meetings are reserved for the conversations that genuinely need synchronous time. Most of the company's important decisions get made in writing first and then ratified in meetings, rather than the other way round.
We respect the work. The discipline of writing arguments down before building, of taking craft seriously, of treating practitioners as the audience that judges the seriousness of the work, applies inside the company as much as outside it.
We compensate competitively. Salary plus equity, with bands set against the relevant market for each role. We do not negotiate aggressively to lowball; we make a fair offer and explain how it is constructed.
We support the conditions for good work. A flexible time-off policy with a minimum we encourage everyone to use. An equipment budget that covers the laptop, monitor, and home-office setup appropriate to the role. A learning budget for conferences, books, and courses. Health insurance and the equivalent benefits expected for the employee's country of residence.
How to reach us.
For role-specific applications, use our contact form and include the role and the materials the role description asks for. For speculative applications, the same form; include the paragraph described above.
For general questions about the company, see contact or read about.
